Trimming of Grafts after FUE harvest...

How important/necessary is to trim the graft after FUE harvest, as FUE harvested graft contains round disc like epidermis on the top which usuallly remains outside the slit after placement (so almost 1 fifth of the graft remain outside the surface) and even with the implanters also its difficult to implant without trimming.... See More

Dear Friends,

Hair transplant  has always been  tedious  and time consuming. Making  thousands of Pre-formed slits with desired density is also a very time consuming  issue that fatigue mind & hands. To address this issue I have devised an instrument which will make it not only faster but more precise too.

I am using the instrument which has multiple identical knives [ of the desired size] in a single row & the instrument can hold such multiple rows making it possible…

Achieving ideal density- newer instrument

Posted by Dr. Pradip R. Atodaria on April 23, 2012 at 2:07am 0 Comments

Dear Dr, Siddiqi,

As such there could be 10 knives in a single row & such 3 rows . Ideally 5-6 knives & 5-6 rows make it possible to make the slits in desired angle & direction in different areas. You can have the depth of all slits same.

Basically I would like to know whether this kind of instrument is available in market or is patented ? I will request you all to give the input.
